Learn residential wiring the right way — circuits, safety, and installation work that passes inspection.

Electricity is powerful, but it's not juju. Once you understand how it works, you can work with it safely and effectively. The biggest mistake people make is not respecting it, and that’s when wahala starts. Think of electricity like water flowing through a pipe. If you understand the pressure, the flow, and what blocks it, you can fix a tap, build a fountain, or even manage a whole water system for your compound. Electrical work is the same.

Who this course is for

For people who want a trade that every building in Nigeria depends on, done properly: apprentices who learned on site without the theory, general artisans who get asked to wire things, and technically minded school leavers. Because electricity can kill, the course is strict about safety and its project is human-reviewed.

Every new building, every renovation and every solar or inverter installation in Nigeria needs a competent electrician, and poor wiring is a leading cause of fires. In 2026 electricians charge ₦15,000 to ₦40,000 per point-heavy room or ₦150,000 to ₦600,000 in labour to wire a flat or bungalow, ₦30,000 to ₦120,000 for a distribution board installation, and day rates of ₦10,000 to ₦25,000 on sites. Tools and what it costs to start

A tester, insulated screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, a multimeter, a drill and consumables — about ₦40,000 to ₦90,000 in 2026. Cable, conduit, boxes, breakers and boards are bought per job. Personal protective equipment is not optional.

Wiring a Model Two-Room Apartment

A link to a Google Drive folder containing photos/video of your wired model apartment and a short written explanation of your work.

Wire a model two-room unit — on a board or in a real space under supervision — and submit photos or video with a written explanation of the circuits, protection and earthing. Because the trade is safety-critical, a human examiner reviews every submission before a certificate is issued.
