About this course

A hands-on course that follows one real-feeling job from first visit to handover: an eight-camera IP system for a supermarket in Ikeja. You will learn what a CCTV system is made of and why so many fail when they are needed, choose between analogue HD and IP, survey a site and agree a purpose for every camera, and design privacy in from the start under Nigeria's data protection law: no cameras in private areas, masking, clear signs, sensible retention and controlled access. You will place cameras for the detail you actually need using pixels-per-metre sums, run and terminate network cable properly, size PoE power, UPS and storage, mount cameras safely and weatherproof every joint, set up the recorder and drives, give the owner secure remote viewing without opening the system to hackers, then test, commission, hand over, maintain and fault-find. The last lesson covers quoting, genuine type-approved equipment and building recurring income. Lessons include narrated animated explainers, credited photos and short silent clips of real installation work. Videos play only when you tap them, so no data is used until you choose. This course teaches the knowledge; ladder, roof and any mains electrical work is done under a qualified installer and electrician until you are competent and certified. On Musa Danjuma's first morning at ClearView Systems, Mrs Grace Eze does not hand him a drill. She drives him to a pharmacy in Surulere that was broken into the week before. This trade is about making sure that never happens.'
