About this course

A clear-eyed literacy course for adults (18+) on how sports betting actually works in Nigeria: how bookmakers set odds and guarantee their margin, why "sure odds" sellers are scams, how to recognise problem gambling and get help, and what the regulated betting-agency business really involves. This is not a "how to win" course — no such course exists, and anyone selling one is part of the problem.

Walk down any street in Surulere, Kano, or Aba on a Saturday morning and you will pass a betting shop with a crowd outside before the Premier League even kicks off. Sports betting is one of the biggest consumer businesses in Nigeria — and something that big deserves to be understood properly, not whispered about or hyped.
