What you will submit
One shared link (Google Doc, Notion page or PDF set to 'anyone with the link can view') containing the six parts: eligibility and NOC, the two CRS calculations, the strategy, the language and credential plan, the budget and timeline with checklist, and the risk register with your decision.
What to do, step by step
- Part 1 — Eligibility (200-300 words): state which of the current programs you qualify for and why, using the FSW 67-point grid where it applies; name your primary NOC 2021 code and TEER with two sentences on why your duties match its lead statement and main duties; note whether you meet the 12-month category-experience rule for any 2026 category.
- Part 2 — Your CRS, twice: calculate your score today, factor by factor (age, education, first and second language, Canadian experience, skill transferability, spouse factors, additional points), and then your realistic score in 12-24 months after named improvements (a higher language score, French to NCLC 7, a completed degree or ECA of a second credential, a spouse's test). Show the arithmetic.
- Part 3 — Strategy (300-400 words): your realistic route(s) given the 2026 draws — general CEC/PNP rounds, a category (healthcare, French, physicians, senior managers, transport, or a dormant category with a fallback), and at least one named provincial nominee stream you plausibly qualify for, with its current requirements; state what you will do if your primary route does not draw at your score within 12 months.
- Part 4 — Language and credentials plan: the test(s) you will take (IELTS General, PTE Core, TEF/TCF Canada), target scores per skill mapped to CLB/NCLC, the preparation plan and dates; the ECA organisation, documents and timeline for each credential; the HND or NYSC issue if it applies.
- Part 5 — Budget and timeline: a full naira budget from tests to landing (tests, ECA, IRCC fees and the RPRF, biometrics, medicals, police certificates, courier and translation, flights, and proof of funds by your family size at the current LICO table), with the exchange rate you used; a month-by-month timeline of 12-24 months; a documents checklist.
- Part 6 — Risks and decision (200-300 words): a risk register of at least five specific risks (score shortfall, funds, a refusal ground, misrepresentation traps, agent fraud, family timing, policy change including the proposed program merger) with mitigations; then an honest decision — go now, prepare and wait, or no-go — with the reasoning. Put the plan in one shared document and submit the link.
Files to work with
Project workbook (fill in, then submit)The whole brief, an evidence checklist, the grading rubric as a self-check and the link-sharing steps in one file. Opens in Word, Google Docs or WPS.Word · 7 KBHow it is graded
| Criterion | Weight |
|---|---|
| Eligibility and NOC are correctly assessed against the current rules, with a defensible TEER match and honest statement of any gaps | 20% |
| The CRS is calculated correctly today and after named improvements, with arithmetic shown and the right factor maximums | 25% |
| The strategy fits the 2026 reality — draw cut-offs, category rules, a real provincial stream, French as a lever where relevant — with a fallback | 25% |
| The budget covers every cost line in naira with a stated rate and the correct proof-of-funds figure for the family size; the timeline and checklist are complete and realistic | 15% |
| The risk register is specific and includes misrepresentation and agent fraud; the decision follows honestly from the numbers, and 'wait' or 'no-go' scores as highly as 'go' | 15% |
You need 65% overall to pass. A failed submission comes back with feedback and can be revised and resubmitted.
Before you submit: make your link public
If your work lives in Google Drive or Google Docs, open Share → General access and change “Restricted” to “Anyone with the link” (Viewer). Then paste the link into a private browser window: if it opens without sign-in, you are ready. A private link cannot be graded — it is the single most common reason a good project fails.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to finish Canada Express Entry from Nigeria: The Honest, Step-by-Step Guide to Permanent Residence before submitting the project?
Yes. The submission screen opens once every lesson in Canada Express Entry from Nigeria: The Honest, Step-by-Step Guide to Permanent Residence is marked complete. The lessons are where the methods, the Nigerian context and the worked examples the project depends on are taught.
How is the project graded?
An examiner scores each rubric criterion from 0 to 100 and weights them as shown on this page; you need 65% overall to pass. Most submissions are graded within minutes and you get written feedback on what was strong and what to improve.
Can I resubmit if I fail?
Yes. A failed project comes back with feedback; revise the weak parts and resubmit. A passed project is final — the certificate is issued and cannot be re-rolled.
What do I actually submit?
A write-up of what you did (under 5,000 characters) plus a public link to your work — a Google Drive folder, Google Doc, spreadsheet, GitHub repository or video. The link must open without sign-in; a private link cannot be graded. The free project workbook on this page walks you through all 6 steps.
Is the certificate real?
Yes. Passing this project issues a certificate with a unique verification code. Anyone — an employer, a client, a school — can open the verification page and see that the certificate is genuine and which project earned it.
