What you will submit
One document containing all six parts, clearly numbered 1-6, with the date on every rate and every regulatory claim.
What to do, step by step
- Rate map (dated): on one day of your choice, record the NFEM official rate, a bureau de change or parallel-market buy and sell quote, and one bank card or fintech rate for the naira against the dollar. State the date and your sources. Then explain in 150-250 words why the gaps exist, using at least three mechanisms from the course (for example reserves, remittance inflows, BDC allocation rules, documentation requirements, speculation).
- Worked trade ticket: choose a currency pair and a realistic account size in dollars. Specify lot size, leverage, entry, stop-loss and take-profit, and the session you would trade it in. Compute and show: the margin required, the pip value, the naira-equivalent amount at risk if the stop is hit, that risk as a percentage of the account, and the spread cost in pips and money. Then show the 'maths of losing' for that setup over 20 trades with a 50% win rate — including spread — and state whether the plan survives.
- Broker scorecard: pick TWO brokers that market to Nigerians. Score each against at least six criteria drawn from the SEC's September 2026 draft rules and this course (regulator and tier, client-fund segregation, negative balance protection, retail leverage offered versus the proposed caps, bonuses or contests offered, published loss percentage, naira deposit and withdrawal route, complaint channel). Conclude which, if either, you would use and why.
- Demo-to-live protocol: write your personal rules: demo duration and number of trades, the metrics you must hit before any live money, the maximum live capital as a percentage of your investable money, risk per trade, daily and weekly loss limits, and the exact conditions under which you stop trading for good.
- Personal FX plan (200-400 words): set trading aside and describe how foreign exchange actually touches your life — school fees, imports, remittances received, freelance dollars, travel, savings — and the legal channels you would use for each. If your honest conclusion is that you should not trade at all, say so and explain why using the course.
- 90-day plan (300-500 words): choose a career lane (bank treasury, corporate treasury, regulator, IMTO or fintech FX desk, BDC, brokerage, funded trader, analyst, educator, fintech product) or the trading track or both. Name the qualification or study you will start (for example CIBN Treasury Management Certificate, ACI Dealing Certificate, CIS), the dated milestones for days 30, 60 and 90, the archive you will build (naira notes, backtests, journal), and how you will judge on day 90 whether the lane is still the lane.
Files to work with
Project workbook (fill in, then submit)The whole brief, an evidence checklist, the grading rubric as a self-check and the link-sharing steps in one file. Opens in Word, Google Docs or WPS.Word · 7 KBHow it is graded
| Criterion | Weight |
|---|---|
| The rate map is dated and sourced, and the explanation of the gaps uses at least three genuine market mechanisms correctly rather than folk theories | 10% |
| The trade ticket's arithmetic is correct and complete: margin, pip value, naira amount at risk, risk percentage, spread cost, and a 20-trade expectancy that includes the spread; the chosen session is sensible for the pair | 25% |
| The broker scorecard applies at least six course-derived criteria to two real brokers with specific, checkable observations, and reaches a reasoned conclusion | 15% |
| The demo-to-live protocol contains numeric thresholds for every stage (demo metrics, maximum live capital, risk per trade, loss limits, stop-for-good rule) consistent with the course's risk guidance | 15% |
| The personal FX plan identifies the learner's real FX needs and matches each to a legal channel taught in the course; a reasoned 'do not trade' conclusion earns full marks | 15% |
| The 90-day plan names a specific lane and a real qualification or study route, sets dated milestones for days 30, 60 and 90, specifies the archive to be built, and includes a day-90 review rule; it contains no live trading before day 90 | 20% |
You need 65% overall to pass. A failed submission comes back with feedback and can be revised and resubmitted.
Before you submit: make your link public
If your work lives in Google Drive or Google Docs, open Share → General access and change “Restricted” to “Anyone with the link” (Viewer). Then paste the link into a private browser window: if it opens without sign-in, you are ready. A private link cannot be graded — it is the single most common reason a good project fails.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to finish Forex in Nigeria: Markets, Trading Mechanics & Careers before submitting the project?
Yes. The submission screen opens once every lesson in Forex in Nigeria: Markets, Trading Mechanics & Careers is marked complete. The lessons are where the methods, the Nigerian context and the worked examples the project depends on are taught.
