What you will submit

A link to a Google Doc (set to 'anyone with the link can view') containing: the task description and 'before' time, your full master prompt, the final AI-assisted output, your numbered workflow checklist, the 'after' time and time saved, and your safety-check section.

What to do, step by step

  1. Choose ONE real recurring task you (or a business you know) does every week — for example weekly customer follow-ups, turning meeting notes into summaries, writing social media captions, drafting quotes/invoices, or replying to common enquiries. Briefly describe the task and roughly how long it currently takes you to do it the old way (your 'before' time).
  2. Build a master prompt for this task using the Role + Context + Task + Format recipe from Lesson 2, written as a reusable template with [BLANKS] you fill in each time. Include the exact, full text of your master prompt.
  3. Actually run the workflow on a real instance of the task: paste your master prompt into a free AI assistant (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Copilot), iterate at least twice to sharpen the output, then finalise it in your own voice. Capture the final usable result the AI helped you produce.
  4. Write your workflow as a short numbered checklist (the repeatable steps anyone could follow) and time how long the task took you using the AI ('after' time). Calculate and state the time saved versus your 'before' estimate.
  5. Add a short 'safety check' section (3-4 sentences): confirm you removed any sensitive customer data before pasting, and note at least one fact, figure or claim in the output that you verified (or would need to verify) and how you checked it — applying the lessons from Lesson 6.

How it is graded

CriterionWeight
Master prompt quality — clearly uses Role + Context + Task + Format and is written as a reusable template30%
Real, usable output — the final result is genuinely good, in the learner's own Nigerian voice, and ready to use25%
Workflow & before/after — a clear repeatable checklist plus an honest, sensible time-saved comparison25%
Safety & verification — sensitive data handled correctly and at least one fact verified, per Lesson 620%

You need 65% overall to pass. A failed submission comes back with feedback and can be revised and resubmitted.

Before you submit: make your link public

If your work lives in Google Drive or Google Docs, open Share → General access and change “Restricted” to “Anyone with the link” (Viewer). Then paste the link into a private browser window: if it opens without sign-in, you are ready. A private link cannot be graded — it is the single most common reason a good project fails.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to finish AI for Work & Business before submitting the project?

Yes. The submission screen opens once every lesson in AI for Work & Business is marked complete. The lessons are where the methods, the Nigerian context and the worked examples the project depends on are taught.

How is the project graded?

An examiner scores each rubric criterion from 0 to 100 and weights them as shown on this page; you need 65% overall to pass. Most submissions are graded within minutes and you get written feedback on what was strong and what to improve.

Can I resubmit if I fail?

Yes. A failed project comes back with feedback; revise the weak parts and resubmit. A passed project is final — the certificate is issued and cannot be re-rolled.

What do I actually submit?

A write-up of what you did (under 5,000 characters) plus a public link to your work — a Google Drive folder, Google Doc, spreadsheet, GitHub repository or video. The link must open without sign-in; a private link cannot be graded. The free project workbook on this page walks you through all 5 steps.

Is the certificate real?

Yes. Passing this project issues a certificate with a unique verification code. Anyone — an employer, a client, a school — can open the verification page and see that the certificate is genuine and which project earned it.
