What you will submit
A single document (Google Doc, Word file, or pasted text) containing three prompts, the before-and-after AI results for each, one verified fact with its source, and a short honesty note — submitted as a shareable link or as text.
What to do, step by step
- Pick three real tasks from your own life where AI could help you — for example a customer reply, a cover letter from your real experience, a business proposal, market-research questions, or a study plan.
- For each task, write a strong prompt using what you learned: include a role, your real context (business, customer, naira prices, location), the task, and the format you want. Save the prompt you used.
- Run each prompt in a free AI tool, then iterate at least once — refine, correct or ask for a different angle — and save BOTH the first answer and your improved final answer so the difference is visible.
- Choose at least ONE factual claim, figure, name, or price from any of your AI outputs, verify it against a real source (official website, Google, or a professional), and write one or two sentences saying what you checked and what you found.
- Write a short note (3-5 sentences) confirming that everything you presented about yourself or your business is true, and explaining how AI helped you express it more clearly rather than inventing anything.
- Put it all together in one document: your three prompts, the before/after results, your verification note, and your honesty note.
Files to work with

| Criterion | Weight |
|---|---|
| Prompt quality — each of the three prompts clearly uses role, real context, a specific task, and a requested format | 35% |
| Iteration shown — before-and-after results demonstrate at least one meaningful refinement, not just accepting the first answer | 25% |
| Fact-checking — at least one claim is verified against a real source with a clear note on what was checked and found | 25% |
| Honesty and ownership — outputs reflect the learner's true situation and the honesty note is genuine and specific | 15% |
You need 65% overall to pass. A failed submission comes back with feedback and can be revised and resubmitted.
Before you submit: make your link public
If your work lives in Google Drive or Google Docs, open Share → General access and change “Restricted” to “Anyone with the link” (Viewer). Then paste the link into a private browser window: if it opens without sign-in, you are ready. A private link cannot be graded — it is the single most common reason a good project fails.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to finish AI Prompting before submitting the project?
Yes. The submission screen opens once every lesson in AI Prompting is marked complete. The lessons are where the methods, the Nigerian context and the worked examples the project depends on are taught.
How is the project graded?
An examiner scores each rubric criterion from 0 to 100 and weights them as shown on this page; you need 65% overall to pass. Most submissions are graded within minutes and you get written feedback on what was strong and what to improve.
Can I resubmit if I fail?
Yes. A failed project comes back with feedback; revise the weak parts and resubmit. A passed project is final — the certificate is issued and cannot be re-rolled.
What do I actually submit?
A write-up of what you did (under 5,000 characters) plus a public link to your work — a Google Drive folder, Google Doc, spreadsheet, GitHub repository or video. The link must open without sign-in; a private link cannot be graded. The free project workbook on this page walks you through all 6 steps.
Is the certificate real?
Yes. Passing this project issues a certificate with a unique verification code. Anyone — an employer, a client, a school — can open the verification page and see that the certificate is genuine and which project earned it.
