What you will submit

A shared Google Doc link containing, with clear headings: (1) a lesson plan in proper Nigerian format with a verification note, (2) a worksheet of at least 8 questions including a local example, (3) a 10-question quiz with a complete answer key and marking scheme, and (4) the exact prompts used plus a short verification note.

What to do, step by step

  1. Pick ONE real topic you teach or could teach (e.g. 'Photosynthesis', 'Fractions', 'Present Perfect Tense', 'The Mole Concept') and state the subject, class/level and the curriculum objective(s) at the top of your document.
  2. Produce a LESSON PLAN for the topic using a proper Nigerian lesson-note format (Topic, Class, Duration, Behavioural Objectives, Previous Knowledge, Instructional Materials, Introduction, Presentation steps, Chalkboard/Board Summary, Evaluation, Assignment), then add one line noting what you corrected or verified in the AI's draft.
  3. Build a WORKSHEET on the topic with at least 8 practice questions of increasing difficulty, including at least one local/Nigerian word problem or example — make sure you have personally checked that every question and any worked example is correct.
  4. Create a 10-QUESTION QUIZ on the topic (a mix of multiple-choice and short-answer is ideal) WITH a complete answer key AND a marking scheme showing how marks are awarded; solve every question yourself to confirm the answer key is correct.
  5. Include the EXACT PROMPTS you used to generate the plan, worksheet and quiz (copy them in), plus a short note (2-4 sentences) confirming you verified the facts and answers and that the material matches the curriculum level.
  6. Put everything in one shared Google Doc (set link sharing to 'anyone with the link can view') with clear headings — Lesson Plan, Worksheet, Quiz + Answers + Marking Scheme, and Prompts Used + Verification Note — and submit the link.

How it is graded

CriterionWeight
Lesson plan — uses a proper Nigerian lesson-note format with clear behavioural objectives, realistic classroom materials and a coherent presentation, matched to the stated class level25%
Worksheet — at least 8 correct practice questions of increasing difficulty with at least one genuine local/Nigerian example or word problem20%
Quiz, answer key and marking scheme — 10 valid questions with a complete and CORRECT answer key and a usable marking scheme (answers verified, no errors)25%
Curriculum alignment and accuracy — content fits the stated topic and level, facts and definitions are correct, and nothing is off-syllabus or age-inappropriate15%
Prompts and verification note — the exact prompts are included and the note credibly confirms the teacher checked facts, answers and curriculum fit15%

You need 65% overall to pass. A failed submission comes back with feedback and can be revised and resubmitted.

Before you submit: make your link public

If your work lives in Google Drive or Google Docs, open Share → General access and change “Restricted” to “Anyone with the link” (Viewer). Then paste the link into a private browser window: if it opens without sign-in, you are ready. A private link cannot be graded — it is the single most common reason a good project fails.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to finish AI for Teachers & Tutors before submitting the project?

Yes. The submission screen opens once every lesson in AI for Teachers & Tutors is marked complete. The lessons are where the methods, the Nigerian context and the worked examples the project depends on are taught.

How is the project graded?

An examiner scores each rubric criterion from 0 to 100 and weights them as shown on this page; you need 65% overall to pass. Most submissions are graded within minutes and you get written feedback on what was strong and what to improve.

Can I resubmit if I fail?

Yes. A failed project comes back with feedback; revise the weak parts and resubmit. A passed project is final — the certificate is issued and cannot be re-rolled.

What do I actually submit?

A write-up of what you did (under 5,000 characters) plus a public link to your work — a Google Drive folder, Google Doc, spreadsheet, GitHub repository or video. The link must open without sign-in; a private link cannot be graded. The free project workbook on this page walks you through all 6 steps.

Is the certificate real?

Yes. Passing this project issues a certificate with a unique verification code. Anyone — an employer, a client, a school — can open the verification page and see that the certificate is genuine and which project earned it.
