What you will submit

A single shareable document (a link to a Google Doc, Canva or PDF — or pasted text) containing: (1) the client brief, (2) a detailed day-by-day itinerary, (3) a client proposal with a priced naira quote, (4) 3 marketing captions, (5) the AI prompts you used, and (6) a 'What I verified' note with at least two facts and their official sources.

What to do, step by step

  1. Choose one real destination and a specific client scenario (for example, a 5-day Dubai trip for a Nigerian couple on a mid-range budget, or a 4-day Cape Town trip for a young professional). Write down the client brief: destination, dates, number and ages of travellers, budget, purpose and any special needs, exactly as taught in the communication lesson.
  2. Using the five-part prompt method from the itinerary lesson, build a detailed day-by-day itinerary with morning/afternoon/evening sections, approximate timings, and Nigerian/destination realities (transfers, weather, halal or Sunday needs, travel money). Edit the AI draft for pacing and budget so it genuinely fits your client.
  3. Write a client proposal with a clear, priced quote in naira: list the components (flights, hotel with nights, transfers, tours, visa assistance, your service), a total, what is included and excluded, your markup, and a short price-validity window. Keep the wording warm and professional.
  4. Write 3 marketing captions (for Instagram or WhatsApp status) promoting this package to a Nigerian audience, each with a clear call to action and a couple of relevant hashtags, using the captioning method from the marketing lesson.
  5. Include the exact AI prompts you used to produce the itinerary, proposal and captions, so your process is visible.
  6. Add a short 'What I verified' note: list at least two hard facts you checked at an official source (for example a visa or entry requirement, a passport-validity rule, or a price/availability), say where you confirmed each, and include the link or a description of the document/source.

How it is graded

CriterionWeight
Itinerary quality — detailed, day-by-day with timings, well-paced, tailored to the client brief and Nigerian/destination realities30%
Proposal and quote — clear naira pricing with components, total, inclusions/exclusions, markup and a price-validity window, in a warm professional tone25%
Marketing captions — 3 audience-aware captions with clear calls to action that genuinely promote the package15%
Verification note — at least two hard facts confirmed at named official sources, with links or document descriptions20%
Prompts and professionalism — the AI prompts are shown, and the whole pack is honest, organised and free of obvious unverified claims10%

You need 65% overall to pass. A failed submission comes back with feedback and can be revised and resubmitted.

Before you submit: make your link public

If your work lives in Google Drive or Google Docs, open Share → General access and change “Restricted” to “Anyone with the link” (Viewer). Then paste the link into a private browser window: if it opens without sign-in, you are ready. A private link cannot be graded — it is the single most common reason a good project fails.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to finish AI for Travel Agents before submitting the project?

Yes. The submission screen opens once every lesson in AI for Travel Agents is marked complete. The lessons are where the methods, the Nigerian context and the worked examples the project depends on are taught.

How is the project graded?

An examiner scores each rubric criterion from 0 to 100 and weights them as shown on this page; you need 65% overall to pass. Most submissions are graded within minutes and you get written feedback on what was strong and what to improve.

Can I resubmit if I fail?

Yes. A failed project comes back with feedback; revise the weak parts and resubmit. A passed project is final — the certificate is issued and cannot be re-rolled.

What do I actually submit?

A write-up of what you did (under 5,000 characters) plus a public link to your work — a Google Drive folder, Google Doc, spreadsheet, GitHub repository or video. The link must open without sign-in; a private link cannot be graded. The free project workbook on this page walks you through all 6 steps.

Is the certificate real?

Yes. Passing this project issues a certificate with a unique verification code. Anyone — an employer, a client, a school — can open the verification page and see that the certificate is genuine and which project earned it.
