What you will submit
A link to your live product page plus a document showing your validation evidence, pricing maths, and written 7-day launch plan.
What to do, step by step
- 1. Pick one validated product idea and run at least two validation checks from Lesson 2 (desk research on Selar/social media, five audience conversations, or a pre-sale/₦500 tripwire). Record the evidence — who you asked, their exact words, what they currently pay, any commitments — in a Google Doc.
- 2. Build the product with free tools per Lesson 3: an ebook/guide (PDF from Google Docs), a template or template pack (Docs/Sheets/Canva), or a mini-course (recorded lessons). Include a Canva cover image.
- 3. Set your pricing using Lesson 4: launch price, standard price, and a written estimate of expected sales at 1%, 2%, and 5% conversion of your reachable audience.
- 4. Put the product LIVE on a Selar page or Paystack storefront/payment page, with a sales page that states who it is for, the transformation, what is inside, the price, and delivery details. Test the checkout link yourself in an incognito tab.
- 5. Write a 7-day launch plan following Lesson 6: the warm-up posts (days 1-3), the launch message (day 4), push activities (days 5-6), and the close (day 7), written out as the actual messages you will send.
- 6. Submit ONE link: your live Selar/Paystack product page, OR a public Google Doc (Anyone-with-link can view) containing the live store link, your validation evidence summary, your pricing maths, and your 7-day launch plan.
Files to work with
Project workbook (fill in, then submit)The whole brief, an evidence checklist, the grading rubric as a self-check and the link-sharing steps in one file. Opens in Word, Google Docs or WPS.Word · 6 KBHow it is graded
| Criterion | Weight |
|---|---|
| Live, working product page (Selar/Paystack) with a clear, honest sales page — audience, transformation, contents, price, and delivery stated; checkout link actually opens | 30% |
| Validation evidence: at least two real checks with recorded findings (audience words, existing spending, commitments or pre-sales), and the product visibly reflects what was learned | 25% |
| Product quality: complete, specific, and genuinely usable by the target buyer — organised structure, professional file naming, working links/copy-instructions, presentable cover | 20% |
| Pricing maths: a justified naira price with fee awareness and a written sales estimate at 1%/2%/5% conversion of a stated reachable audience — no fantasy numbers | 15% |
| 7-day launch plan: actual drafted messages for warm-up, open, push, and close, matched to where the learner's real audience lives | 10% |
You need 65% overall to pass. A failed submission comes back with feedback and can be revised and resubmitted.
Before you submit: make your link public
If your work lives in Google Drive or Google Docs, open Share → General access and change “Restricted” to “Anyone with the link” (Viewer). Then paste the link into a private browser window: if it opens without sign-in, you are ready. A private link cannot be graded — it is the single most common reason a good project fails.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to finish Digital Products: Create & Sell before submitting the project?
Yes. The submission screen opens once every lesson in Digital Products: Create & Sell is marked complete. The lessons are where the methods, the Nigerian context and the worked examples the project depends on are taught.
How is the project graded?
An examiner scores each rubric criterion from 0 to 100 and weights them as shown on this page; you need 65% overall to pass. Most submissions are graded within minutes and you get written feedback on what was strong and what to improve.
Can I resubmit if I fail?
Yes. A failed project comes back with feedback; revise the weak parts and resubmit. A passed project is final — the certificate is issued and cannot be re-rolled.
What do I actually submit?
A write-up of what you did (under 5,000 characters) plus a public link to your work — a Google Drive folder, Google Doc, spreadsheet, GitHub repository or video. The link must open without sign-in; a private link cannot be graded. The free project workbook on this page walks you through all 6 steps.
Is the certificate real?
Yes. Passing this project issues a certificate with a unique verification code. Anyone — an employer, a client, a school — can open the verification page and see that the certificate is genuine and which project earned it.
