What you will submit

A single shareable pack (a link to a Google Doc, Canva, Jiji/Instagram post, or PDF — or pasted text) containing: (1) a written listing with at least 6 real photos, (2) a viewing/qualification checklist, and (3) a document-verification checklist appropriate to a rental or a sale.

What to do, step by step

  1. Choose one real, available property near you (a flat, self-contain, shop or house — to let or for sale). Confirm with the owner, caretaker or agent that it is genuinely available and that they have the right to let or sell it, exactly as taught in the sourcing and due-diligence lessons.
  2. Write a complete, professional listing: lead with type, location and price, then rooms/features, then the extras Nigerians care about (water, power, security, parking, flooding), the agency/agreement fees and who pays, availability, and a clear call to action. State the price in naira — do not hide it.
  3. Take and include at least 6 honest, well-lit photos of the actual property (rooms, bathroom/kitchen, exterior/compound, and any standout feature), shot in daylight, level and landscape, following the photo rules from the marketing lesson.
  4. Create a viewing checklist: the questions you ask to qualify a client on the phone (budget, timing, readiness, size), your inspection-fee policy, and the steps you follow before, during and after a viewing — including the genuine strengths and any honest weak points to mention.
  5. Create a document-verification checklist tailored to whether it is a rental or a sale: for a rental, the tenancy agreement and receipts; for a sale, the C of O / Deed of Assignment, Governor's Consent, survey plan, and where each is verified (state land registry, surveyor-general), plus the omo onile and fake-document red flags to watch for.
  6. Assemble all three parts (listing + photos, viewing checklist, verification checklist) into one shareable document or post and submit the link or text.

You need 65% overall to pass. A failed submission comes back with feedback and can be revised and resubmitted.

Before you submit: make your link public

If your work lives in Google Drive or Google Docs, open Share → General access and change “Restricted” to “Anyone with the link” (Viewer). Then paste the link into a private browser window: if it opens without sign-in, you are ready. A private link cannot be graded — it is the single most common reason a good project fails.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to finish Real Estate Assistant Training before submitting the project?

Yes. The submission screen opens once every lesson in Real Estate Assistant Training is marked complete. The lessons are where the methods, the Nigerian context and the worked examples the project depends on are taught.

How is the project graded?

An examiner scores each rubric criterion from 0 to 100 and weights them as shown on this page; you need 65% overall to pass. Most submissions are graded within minutes and you get written feedback on what was strong and what to improve.

Can I resubmit if I fail?

Yes. A failed project comes back with feedback; revise the weak parts and resubmit. A passed project is final — the certificate is issued and cannot be re-rolled.

What do I actually submit?

A write-up of what you did (under 5,000 characters) plus a public link to your work — a Google Drive folder, Google Doc, spreadsheet, GitHub repository or video. The link must open without sign-in; a private link cannot be graded. The free project workbook on this page walks you through all 6 steps.

Is the certificate real?

Yes. Passing this project issues a certificate with a unique verification code. Anyone — an employer, a client, a school — can open the verification page and see that the certificate is genuine and which project earned it.
