What you will submit

A live, published landing page link (Carrd, Canva, Selar or Paystack/Flutterwave) for one offer, plus a short written note explaining the conversion choices and one planned A/B test.

What to do, step by step

  1. Choose one specific offer to build a page for, real or a realistic sample: a product, a service, or a free lead magnet. Write down the single conversion you want (buy, book, get a lead, or message on WhatsApp) and who the ideal buyer is, including their problem and rough budget in naira.
  2. Write the page copy before you design: a result-driven headline and subheadline, 3 to 5 benefit bullets (not features), at least two pieces of social proof (real or clearly sample testimonials), the price, delivery and FAQ details, and the exact text for your call-to-action button.
  3. Build the page with a free no-code tool (Carrd, Canva website, Selar, or a Paystack/Flutterwave page), following the anatomy: hero with headline and button, benefits, proof, details/objections, and a repeated call to action. Keep it mobile-first, fast and clean.
  4. Connect the button to its real action (a Selar/Paystack checkout link, a form, or a pre-filled WhatsApp chat) and publish the page so it is live on a shareable link. Test it on a real phone: confirm it loads fast, the offer is clear in three seconds, and every button works end to end.
  5. Write a short note (about 200 to 400 words) explaining your conversion choices: why that headline, which benefits and proof you chose and why, how you made it mobile-first and fast, what your single action is, and one thing you would A/B test first to improve the conversion rate.
  6. Submit the live page link plus your conversion note (paste the note text or include a link to it).

How it is graded

CriterionWeight
Page anatomy and structure: the live page includes the full skeleton (clear hero with headline and button, benefits, social proof, details/objections, and a repeated call to action) for one focused offer with one conversion.25%
Copy quality: the headline promises a specific result in plain buyer language, benefits beat features, claims are specific (real naira figures, places, numbers), and the button text is a result-promising verb, not 'Submit'.25%
Mobile-first design and working build: the page is clean, fast and readable on a phone, the button(s) connect to a real action that works end to end, and the page is genuinely published on a shareable link.20%
Conversion note and testing thinking: the note clearly explains the key conversion choices (headline, benefits, proof, mobile/speed, the single action) and names one sensible thing to A/B test first.15%
Nigerian relevance and ethics: the offer, money in naira, tools (Carrd, Selar, Paystack, WhatsApp) and examples are concrete and realistic, and the page is honest with no fake proof, false scarcity or impossible promises.15%

You need 65% overall to pass. A failed submission comes back with feedback and can be revised and resubmitted.

Before you submit: make your link public

If your work lives in Google Drive or Google Docs, open Share → General access and change “Restricted” to “Anyone with the link” (Viewer). Then paste the link into a private browser window: if it opens without sign-in, you are ready. A private link cannot be graded — it is the single most common reason a good project fails.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to finish Landing Page Design That Converts before submitting the project?

Yes. The submission screen opens once every lesson in Landing Page Design That Converts is marked complete. The lessons are where the methods, the Nigerian context and the worked examples the project depends on are taught.

How is the project graded?

An examiner scores each rubric criterion from 0 to 100 and weights them as shown on this page; you need 65% overall to pass. Most submissions are graded within minutes and you get written feedback on what was strong and what to improve.

Can I resubmit if I fail?

Yes. A failed project comes back with feedback; revise the weak parts and resubmit. A passed project is final — the certificate is issued and cannot be re-rolled.

What do I actually submit?

A write-up of what you did (under 5,000 characters) plus a public link to your work — a Google Drive folder, Google Doc, spreadsheet, GitHub repository or video. The link must open without sign-in; a private link cannot be graded. The free project workbook on this page walks you through all 6 steps.

Is the certificate real?

Yes. Passing this project issues a certificate with a unique verification code. Anyone — an employer, a client, a school — can open the verification page and see that the certificate is genuine and which project earned it.
