What you will submit
A link to a Google Sheet or document (or clear photos compiled into one PDF/doc) containing: your chosen business and page audit, your 30-day content calendar with content pillars and hashtag bank, your three fully-created sample posts, your posting schedule with at least four quick-reply DM scripts, your one-page client proposal with naira pricing, and your honesty-and-measurement paragraph.
What to do, step by step
- Choose ONE real or sample Nigerian business (a food vendor, fashion brand, gadget seller, salon, fitness coach — anything specific). In a short paragraph, state what it sells, who its customers are, where it operates and delivers, and which platforms you'll focus on, then briefly audit its current page using Lesson 2 (profile photo, name field, bio, link, contact buttons) and name the top three fixes.
- Define 3–5 content pillars for the business and build a full 30-day content calendar in a Google Sheet (or clear table) with columns for date, platform, pillar, post idea, caption, hashtags and format. Show a healthy value/connection/proof/sell balance (roughly 40/30/20/10), tie at least two posts to a real Nigerian moment or season, and include a hashtag bank of broad, niche and local tags.
- Fully create at least THREE sample posts referencing Lesson 4: one reel or TikTok (a real short video or a clear storyboard with the hook, on-screen text and CTA), one carousel, and one single-image post. For each, write the hook, the full caption with ONE clear call to action, and note the format and goal (reach, saves, or top-of-mind).
- Write a posting schedule and DM plan: state how many times per week you'll post on each platform and your chosen posting times (with a note that you'll adjust to the page's Insights), and include at least four quick-reply DM scripts from Lesson 6 (greeting, price answer, how-to-order, and a gentle follow-up) that move a chat toward a sale.
- Write a one-page client proposal (from Lesson 7): a short line on what you noticed about their page, exactly what you'll do each month (platforms, number of posts, scheduling, community management, monthly report), your package and price in naira as a monthly retainer, a note that ad spend is funded separately, and a clear next step to get started.
- Add a short honesty paragraph (100–200 words): name one realistic result you can promise in the first month and one thing you will NOT promise (e.g. overnight virality), and explain how you'll measure success using analytics from Lesson 6 (reach, saves, DMs, sales) rather than vanity follower counts.

You need 65% overall to pass. A failed submission comes back with feedback and can be revised and resubmitted.
Before you submit: make your link public
If your work lives in Google Drive or Google Docs, open Share → General access and change “Restricted” to “Anyone with the link” (Viewer). Then paste the link into a private browser window: if it opens without sign-in, you are ready. A private link cannot be graded — it is the single most common reason a good project fails.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to finish Social Media Management before submitting the project?
Yes. The submission screen opens once every lesson in Social Media Management is marked complete. The lessons are where the methods, the Nigerian context and the worked examples the project depends on are taught.
How is the project graded?
An examiner scores each rubric criterion from 0 to 100 and weights them as shown on this page; you need 65% overall to pass. Most submissions are graded within minutes and you get written feedback on what was strong and what to improve.
Can I resubmit if I fail?
Yes. A failed project comes back with feedback; revise the weak parts and resubmit. A passed project is final — the certificate is issued and cannot be re-rolled.
What do I actually submit?
A write-up of what you did (under 5,000 characters) plus a public link to your work — a Google Drive folder, Google Doc, spreadsheet, GitHub repository or video. The link must open without sign-in; a private link cannot be graded. The free project workbook on this page walks you through all 6 steps.
Is the certificate real?
Yes. Passing this project issues a certificate with a unique verification code. Anyone — an employer, a client, a school — can open the verification page and see that the certificate is genuine and which project earned it.
